SAPPORO
it was good to be eating out for a change and having a couple of beers, and all in all it came to around £15 so it wasn’t exactly going to break the bank.
We then had to brave the cold again and couldn’t face another wander around in the extreme cold. I know I keep going on about how cold it was but believe me it was bitterly cold and hard work walking around in such deep piles of snow and ice. It is the coldest winter Japan has suffered for almost 50 years, if it had been in England then everything would have ground to a halt and nothing would have worked, but here people just get on with it, transport continues and life going on without too much disruption. It does seem a little odd to us both that while on our travels so far, we have experienced odd weather patterns in almost every country we have been to. Nothing to do with global warming

The University was great, very majestic looking building and people scurrying around through the snow. It does have famous gardens hence it being on the tourist trail but again due to the levels of snow, most of the gardens were just a blanket of white.
Next was Sapporo Factory which was basically just a big shopping mall but it was in old brewery buildings so very Albert Dock in terms of building appearance. We checked out a few of the touristy food shops and to
