the cave and grab a bat for a snack!!! Very strange.
On the way back we were treated to the sight of a monitor lizard moving through the jungle - it was huge - must have been around five foot long! I’d never seen such a big lizard! Equally impressive was this massive tree we came across, and I can pretty much be sure I’d never seen such a big tree either! Two biggest things in the space of ten minutes - can’t be bad!!!
Well it was our last night in the camp, and although we were thoroughly exhausted we’d had a fantastic time, and felt so privileged to have seen the oldest rainforest in the World, and met some of it’s inhabitants!! A quick photo shoot in the morning with us and Ajax and we were once again heading off down the river. This time it only took an hour and a half as

we were heading downstream!! In no time at all we were back at the hostel and settling in for our last night in the Northern Hemisphere for a good while!!!
