GREAT OCEAN ROAD & MELBOURNE
for whale spotting, unfortunately we weren’t there at the right time but it was still good to read all of the information about the whales and their lives. It was also a very beautiful place, again with very heavy surf and a chilly wind. After driving around for a little while we decided to just go to their house and wait for them to come home.

It was great to see them again, the last time we had seen them was in Kunming before we headed off to Tibet, so we had definitely covered some miles since then. Kelly had had a really hard day at work and had a visit to the dentist on the way home so she asked if we wouldn’t mind going out for dinner as she wasn’t really in the mood for cooking. We thought this was a great idea and went to a lovely little restaurant in the centre of town. Again the portions were huge and nobody finished their meals!!! We headed back fairly soon after we had eaten
and spent the night with a couple of beers and swooping travelling stories. It was a really good evening and it was great to see them both again. We headed off to bed around midnight and had the pleasure of a big comfy double bed! This was the first time we’d had a bed in the last 18 days so it was very welcome indeed!

We had lots to sort out while we were at Kelly and Jason’s which meant that we didn’t really get chance to have a good look around the town. Rob needed to upload a lot of stuff to the website and I needed to re-schedule the rest of our flights as they only had dummy dates, due to you not being able to put in dates further than 11 months in advance.
