LOS ANGELES
went to the apartment to get Rob and we set off!!! We headed into Santa Monica in search of a Chinese. Santa Monica must be one of the only neighborhoods in LA that doesn't like Chinese, as we couldn't find one anywhere. So after much driving around Chris decided to call his PA and get her to find one for us. She called back with directions and the next minute we were heading for a freeway at some speed due to us all being hungry and we were on our way to 'the best Chinese in LA' according to Chris. Chris is a lovely bloke and very generous, he was extremely apologetic for not having anything lined up, of course we didn't mind and it gave us a good chance to see LA from the backseat of another car! Due to the USA being on high terror alert, satellite navigation systems blank themselves when they get within a certain range of the airport. We had a good giggle about this as we honestly didn't think it was a very good way of hiding the airport but hey ho we all know that Mr Bush ain't too bright! Unf
ortunately for us, the thing lost all of our directions but all was not lost as Rob managed to re-program it before we got too lost!!! Soon enough we turned up at the Chinese and wow what a place. As you can imagine normally it would be out of our price range but this was Chris's treat and he's not the type of person to skimp on spoiling people rotten. He ordered us champagne and a cocktail then let us loose with the menu!!! The food was absolutely fantastic, there was tons of it, so after stuffing ourselves as much we could, we got the rest of it boxed up for supper.

Whilst we were having dinner, Chris offered us the change to possibly do some work for him on a very casual basis. We agreed this would be a good thing and arranged to go for some training at his house on Monday morning - the day after our 2nd wedding anniversary!!!
