LOS ANGELES
right thing to do, have a couple of glasses of wine in the sunshine. It has to be said it was a far cry from Pokara and the wooden rowing boat from the year before, but it could have been worse. We weren't really looking forward to LA other than meeting up with people but it had surprised us after a bit of a shaky start. So we had a lovely afternoon quaffing vino and chatting away, it was good to see Dan again and the bar we were in was very pleasant. We then went for a walk down towards Venice Boardwalk and generally wandered around. After a while we headed back to the motel where we said our final goodbyes to Dan then went up to the sundeck to catch the last of the sun's rays and open a bottle of bubbly! We got rather drunk it has to be said and phoned a fair few people via Skype - sorry to anyone to received a bit of a drunken phone call - but sometimes when your half the world away you just want to speak to your friends!!!
We woke up feeling a little worse for wear it has to be said then suddenly realised that today was the day of our computer training with Chris! We made it through the training and are extremely grateful to Chris for helping us out. Chris then kindly offered us a lift to the airport where we were going to meet up with Cath, Andy, Sue and Eddie - wow we were definitely looking forward to seeing them!
