LOS ANGELES


After a fabulous meal we headed back towards Venice Beach and Chris dropped us off. We then headed straight for the apartment for a very long chill! I think we were so full that we didn't managed to start on the leftovers until around 9.30 pm!!! We'd had another great day and LA was certainly proving to be very interesting.

Many moons ago we had booked into the Seashore Motel in Santa Monica, as this would be the place we would all stay when Cath and co came over. Sue had kindly offered to pay for a room for us on the night of our wedding anniversary. As we were sorting out our stuff I asked Rob if he had seen the Rough Guide, we both looked for it but couldn't find it anywhere and Rob had a horrible suspicion that he had left it in Dan's car. He managed to get Dan on messenger and yeap he'd left it there. Dan, bless him offered to drive over and drop it off to which we offered to buy him
lunch. We also asked him if he would mind moving us to Santa Monica - of course he didn't! Phew for us, it meant that we didn't have to bother with a cab. Sure enough he pulled up on time and looked fairly horrified at the amount of stuff we wanted to put in his car but it all fit, just! We then headed off and found out that the next place we were staying was about 5 minutes drive away!

The motel was really nice, a very big room with TV, free internet etc, so we were happy to be staying for a couple of nights. We then headed off in search of food as Dan was starving and found an Irish bar just across the road. We had been reminiscing about all of the things you miss food wise so headed in there for a hearty lunch. We also ordered a bottle of wine - well it was our wedding anniversary after all!
