NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE
Russians liberated the area, ten children were born in the tunnel and they are all still alive! Makes the woman who we overheard moaning the night before about not getting a bread roll with her starters for her 3 course meal sound abit shallow to say the least!
Also been to Norway’s most eastern point Vardo, it is located 31° 10’ 10” east, in other words further east than St. Petersburg or Istanbul! Bleak but sunny and opposite Russia, its where the Russians and Nato kept an eye of each other in the height of the cold war!

Hey Russ, Rob’s got some arctic beer, he says it’s cold and its cold!

Well Rob’s had his arctic beer and has now changed for his visit to the Jacuzzi, this can not be missed!

Yeah he went in and it looked so good I got in to, so there you go, I bet nobody thought nesh girl riley would have been in an outdoor Jacuzzi in the middle of the arctic at half six in the evening!!!

Until tomorrow xhx

19TH MAY 2005

Mehamn - Kjollefjord - Honningsvag - Havoysund - Hammerfest - Oksfjord - Skjervoy - Tromso

Our major day time stop was Hammerfest and hurray the wine shops were open again, so we stocked up on wine and arctic beer! The weather was fairly rubbish, we missed the Oksfjordjokulen glacier (cause we couldn’t see it due to the grey manc style weather vibe) the only one in northern Norway that produces icebergs but hey-ho, can‘t complain!
