worth the climb as the views were superb. We were definitely ready for our packed lunch and had a very pleasant lunch sat next to river and listening to the gushing sound of water and general twitter of the various birds. It is such a beautiful area everyone was totally blown away by the sheer scale of the place and Yosemite’s gorgeous scenery. I can’t stress enough how amazing California is, Yosemite is somewhere you could never tire of, you could easily spend a month in Yosemite alone and still leave feeling as though you still haven’t seen it all.

After a good rest we headed around towards another distant waterfall. Rob knew that there was an alternative way now and was definitely in the mood for finding out whether it was worth doing or not. It would mean another climb before the dissent and everyone agreed it would be good to make it into a loop walk. I’m not sure my legs were
thanking me for agreeing to this extra climb but we eventually made it to the top and the views back down over the waterfall were incredible - definitely worth making the effort!!! The walk down was very pleasant but me and Sue were flagging and as we were getting nearer the bottom I mentioned to Rob that me and Sue were absolutely knackered, the next minute he’s striding off into the distance! I asked Cath and Andy where he’d gone and they said that he’d gone off to get us an energy drink - bless him! Half and hour or so later we saw him heading back in our direction with two very strangely coloured energy drinks which went down a treat and did the trick!!!

Once we finally got back to the car everyone agreed that it had been a superb walk. Cath then suggested that we go and check out Glacier Point, but it would have meant a good hours drive to get there and we reckoned we’d have missed the
