YOSEMITE & TWIN LAKES
After taking about a million photos we got back to the waterfall and Cath and Sue were nowhere to be seen, this didn’t really surprise us as we had been a lot longer that we had planned. We had also mentioned about hiring a boat in the afternoon and suspected that they had gone to go and check it out. This was definitely a walk to remember and we all seemed to skip back down the hill to the campsite. Sure enough we found Cath and Sue near to the boat rental shed, they had enquired about a boat and were just waiting for us to come back before going ahead and booking it. We booked the boat before we headed back to the café for lunch, we were sure making good use of this place! We were very restrained with our ordering and after lunch we headed off towards our hired vessel which wasn’t exactly Nightingale but would do the trick for a few laps around the lake! Unfortunately we hadn’t got the boat we really wanted and the only one available was a 5 person boat. Sue wasn’t overly keen about taking
to the water and I think she had her heart set on a bit of peace and quiet, chilling out on the bench and relaxing in the sunshine! It certainly was the place to recharge those batteries and enjoy a bit of sunshine. After getting ourselves kitted out with life-jackets we climbed aboard and set sail. Rob was at the helm and did a very good job of getting us out on the water without crashing into anything else! It was great to out on the water, from there we also realised how high we had been on our walk this morning, we had been very near the snow line. We all took turns in having a drive of the boat, it was quite a noisy little thing, but after a lap of the lake Eddie decided that was enough for him and went to chill with Sue on the bench while Rob, Cath, Andy and me went for another spin around.
After our second lap we’d had enough so parked the boat up and Rob, Eddie and myself headed back
