instead, who also looked fairly boring! After a few beers and games of pool we headed back to our pad to watch a film. We picked The Good Shepard directed by Robert De Niro, not one of his best as it was extremely difficult to follow, resulting in Phil nodding off and going to bed before the end!

Phil was planning to head off today but due to our sparkling company he decided to say a bit longer!! Our plan had been to check out Isla del Sol but due to us being woken up in the middle of the night by some of the loudest thunder we had ever heard and the resulting onslaught of rain which still hadn’t abated by the time we got up, we decided to give it a miss. It was far too wet and windy to head off on a more or less uncovered wooden boat then hike across an island. After breakfast we realised that the weather was brightening up and we could have ventured onto the boat after all. We chilled around
for most of the morning and early afternoon. It was nice to just do a bit of relaxing and having a few games of Yahtzee.

After lunch time we thought we’d try more of local place rather than the main drag of tourist restaurants. Wow we managed to get a 2 course lunch for 7 B’s or the equivalent of 35p! The food was OK but really it was worth spending the extra 20p and getting a better deal at one of the touristy places! The waitress was less than friendly and you kind of got the impression we were bothering her more than pleasing her with our custom.

After lunch we thought it was time to get active so we headed to the local hill for a walk up it. Copacabana is a very pretty little place and the views from the bottom were good so knew it would be worth the walk up. At the base of
