COPACABANA
the hill there were lots of ceremonial fire pits, well we didn’t really know what they were, but there was quite a few people burning jos-sticks and muttering, so we guessed it must have something to do with religion.
It was pretty hard going walking up this hill due to the altitude and heat, but we made it and were rewarded with fabulous views over the sparkling waters of the immense Lake Titticaca. The lake was almost sea like in its vastness as it glinted its way towards the horizon. After a few photos and a sit down to recover from the strain of walking up such a short but steep hill we were really to move back down again. We’d decided to have a night off the beer so went home to play a few more games of yahtzee before heading out for dinner then coming back, watching another film and having an early night.

After being served breakfast by our very grumpy hostel owner (he was extremely pleasant throughout the day but we guessed he just didn’t like mornings) we headed down to the lakeshore and bought our tickets for the boat. It was cold and raining and the boat was a simple affair with a roof but open sides and small plastic chairs partially bolted down! Hmmm, 2 hours on this thing wasn’t going to be too much fun. It was freezing and the first hour as predicted wasn’t much fun. Thankfully the rain stopped about half way into the journey and warmed us slightly and only slightly! My feet were had definitely taken on an ice cube vibe!
After we arrived in a soggy looking Isla del Sol we
