LA PAZ
England was out in force tonight! We persuaded James and Alice (not that it took much persuading it has to be said!) to come to the pub with us. I had a wicked veggie curry and Rob had a less than impressive fish and chips. There was something strange about his order which I can’t fully remember now but he couldn’t have a full portion and if he wanted 2 pieces of fish they were going to charge him twice! Odd, but hey this is Bolivia! Needless to say when you just meet a couple that you get on really well with then inevitably the beers start flowing a little too easily. We ended up getting some beer takeouts and heading back to the hostel for a nightcap. It all then becomes a little hazy and neither of us are sure what time we got to bed. Bad move seeing as we were due to be picked up in a cab at 7 a.m.!

We were woken by someone knocking really loudly on our door. We looked at the clock and it
was 6.40 a.m. Arrrrggghhh our cab was early! We managed to ready as quickly as could then stumbled downstairs and were really hoping that today’s airport stint would be considerably less than yesterdays! We both felt a little under the weather and sure enough the chaos started as soon as walked into the airport. We had a different person with us today though and he went over to the counter to see what was happening. We hadn’t been sat there for much longer than 20 minutes when the large group of Israelis reappeared and caused yet more strife.

You did have to feel a bit sorry for them though as this was their 4th day at the airport waiting for a flight. 4 days waiting for a flight would not be much fun anywhere but in an airport such as this it was just painful! It was also equally as cold and we were starting to wish we’d not been in such high spirits the night before, all I wanted to do
