and night in the jungle then 3 days and 2 nights in the pampas. It was quite expensive but we figured it would be worth it. We were also advised to fly with TAM which is the Bolivian military’s passenger service. There are only 2 airlines that fly to Rurrenbaque, the town closest to the start of all trips. We had booked the trip starting from 4th April, the day after tomorrow! We were very excited about it and couldn’t wait to get going. The rest of the day was spent with a bit more time on the internet and generally chilling around. In the evening we watched the second part to Kill Bill and enjoyed it equally as much as the first one.

We woke up fairly handy and I decided that as we had Skype I was going to give our insurance a call and chase up our insurance claim. As usual we had heard nothing from them and were wondering why it was taking them so long, seeing as the claim for Rob’s
teeth went in last September and mine for my ipod was sent in November. I dreaded speaking to them but I knew it had to be done. I got a very nice lad on the phone and after the initial shock of him saying that he didn’t have any record of the claims, and me explaining everything once again, he looked up in the archive files and hey presto we were there. The claim had been pending for so long it had been sent to archive, which I thought was a bit weird. I explained we had heard nothing and he informed me that 2 letters had been sent out one in October and one beginning of December! It turns out that they had either been lost in the post or Cath had missed them, but it didn’t matter as Daniel said they could thankfully still be processed - phew! I explained I was in Bolivia and not in a great position to sort much out so he said he’d resend the letters and proceed with the claim.
