KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
nearest rest camp. It was a lovely drive to the camp and the camp’s restaurant had a wonderful view over another lake. The lake was again filled with hippos all enjoying the cooling water. There were also some baby hippos which were very cute in a funny sort of way!
From here we carried on towards Crocodile Bridge and along the way we saw giraffe, ostriches, a crown eagle, monkeys, baboons, kudu, fish eagle, warthog, more crocodiles and 2 enormous rhinos. Wow, we had been grumbling at the beginning of the day about the number of big 5 we’d seen, and now within the space of a few hours our tally was up to 4 out of 5. The only one left that was unseen was the elusive leopard!
We arrived at Crocodile Bridge camp at 5.25! We had become pretty good at guessing these arrival times,

We arrived at Crocodile Bridge camp at 5.25! We had become pretty good at guessing these arrival times,
which was pretty handy! Tonight Mike had his own tent, but this didn’t matter as they were very close to each other. These 2 man tents were exactly like the 4 man ones and this camp was particularly nice. Rob made a curry while I sorted out the tent and car and after an hour or so we were all tucking into a wonderful Rob style curry accompanied by the all important sundowner! Again we had another really enjoyable evening, chatting and laughing under the stars. The camp was alive with bush babies, their eyes shining red in the torch light. They also kept us amused with their funny tree climbing antics!!
I woke the next morning feeling fully refreshed. I’d had a great nights sleep as I’d only had one lot of snoring to contend with! We all must have had a good sleep as we managed to get up, shower and have breakfast and were ready with the car packed by 7.15 a.m. - impressive or what? We had
