of the jeep and thankfully by now the sun was rising and warming us slightly. Then it was back into the jeep and back on the road and as we turned off the main drag we turned a corner and saw 3 giraffes stood with a group of zebras in the middle of the road. They looked magnificent in the early morning sun light and we got some great photos. It was also good to see the height ratio as the giraffes towered over the tiny looking zebras. After this it was more or less time to head back to the camp, it had been great and although we didn’t see anything new it was still fantastic to see what we saw.
Once back at camp it was time to have breakfast then pack as today we would be moving onto Skukuza, the biggest of all of the rest camps. It was a good long drive down to Skukuza but it was highlighted by seeing yet more impala, elephants, giraffes, waterbuck, wildebeest and velvet monkeys. These

monkeys were funny little things as the males had bright blue privates!!! Rob and Mike tried to blag me into thinking that someone went round and sprayed them for identification purposes, I have to admit I believed them for around a minute!!! I had forgotten what Rob and Mike were like when they are together!!!
We arrived just before 5 at the camp and it seemed very commercialised after the peacefulness of Orpen. Skukuza is the main camp that holds up to a thousand people and even has its own airport! Our tent wasn’t quite as grand as the one we’d had at Orpen and it all seemed very busy, but it was pleasant enough and just more of a family orientated place. After settling in, we figured we’d go and check out the bar and shop. We’d been up for hours and had a very pleasant couple of beers sat outside near to a waterhole. None of us could really be bothered heading back to our camp to cook so
