KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
we decided to check out the take away. Result! They had veggie burger and chips, and fish and chips for Rob!! We must have been hungry as the three of us polished off our food in record time. The food was really good, cheap and huge portions, a certain winner!!! After this we headed back to our camp for a couple more beers and some more scintillating conversation.
We had decided not to do the ultra early morning thing so had ourselves a little lie in! A lie in here means getting up around 8 as opposed to 5.30!!! Check out is at 9 so we were ready and on our way by 9.20, not bad really! Today we were heading to Crocodile Bridge camp and to get here you had to go via the Sabie river. We had wanted to book into Sabie River Camp but it was full as this is where there is the highest concentration of wildlife. We were definitely wanting to see some more of the big 5 and we weren’t disappointed,

within an hour we had seen buffalo, a hippo, elephants and lionesses!
As we left the camp we decided to follow the river rather than take the smaller back roads and we were well and truly rewarded. I’m not really a huge fan of buffalo and don’t really see why they are included in the big 5, but who am I to question what’s in and what’s out. I guess we had seen so many water buffalo working the fields in South East Asia that they didn’t really seem so special. Still we spotted the buffalo on the other side of the river, munching away on some grass oblivious to all of the tourists cameras snapping away! Next as we headed down the river we saw a huge group of cars parked at precarious angles in the road and guessed there must be something pretty special around to warrant so much interest. As we drove up and Mike stopped the car and we looked out and to our utter joy there was about 3 or 4
