KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
nking!
We arrived back at camp at 5.28 with a full two minutes to spare! It had been a wonderful first introduction to the park and we were very happy with what animals we’d seen. We were booked into this camp for 2 nights and we couldn’t wait to get the beers open, the braai lit and start to hopefully try and feel real Africa! It had seemed like we’d been waiting round for ages since we hadn’t really done anything since we’d been in Africa and now we were starting to fully appreciate what all of the fuss is about. The sunset was stunning, it was pleasantly warm and we were all in very high spirits as we drank our first sundowner or beer as its known everywhere else!

Rob saw a serval, a small cat but Mike and I missed it. The neighbours had shouted over to Rob to come quickly and as he went over to their tent the serval walked past the fence. After this animal viewing we went in search of our torch, it wasn’t the most powerful of things but it was better than nothing. Unfortunately we didn’t see anything else but we certainly heard a lot of very strange noises! It was really uplifting sitting there on the veranda listening to the sounds of the wild, seeing the most amazing stars and catching up with an old friend.
