and on first impressions I was a little disappointed. The train we got on was well overcrowded to say the least and it wasn’t the newest of things. I guess maybe I’m being over critical due to the high expectations I’d had, but none the less it was a little bit below what I’d expected. After having to stand for the first part of our journey we got to the station where we needed to change to the underground and thankfully managed to get a seat on this one. We soon reached our station and got off not really knowing what to expect from the world above! We didn’t have a map of where we were going but had some pretty good instructions and in the hands of Rob that means we’ll find it in no time at all!!! And we did, it wasn’t long before we were signing into our hostel which would be home for the next 3 nights.

fact that the dividing walls only went about two thirds of the way up but hey ho, what do you expect for 20 quid a night in Tokyo?!! We weren’t really up for doing much on our first night as we were fairly tired due to our 5 am start and it was absolutely freezing outside and we needed to sort out loads of stuff on the internet which was thankfully free. So we decided to stay put and venture out in the morning.
