NORTHERN THAILAND
itching to buy something! There is a huge computer complex which sells everything to do with computers and electrical stuff, so Rob had said that it might be worth going to see if we could get a new DVD writer for the laptop! Hmmmm I thought 5 floors of computer shops, I could see us waving bye bye to the rest of day and spending it rummaging around computer shops!!! Nothing had quite prepared us for what we were about to see, you have never seen anything like it, it was crazy! Even I could have spent a week in there looking at stuff, they had some wicked things but there were just too many shops! Even Rob was overwhelmed, he checked out a couple of shops but they didn’t really have anything as cheap as he wanted, he was also really just window shopping as he wanted to contact Sony to see if they would repair the writer. We got out of there pretty fast as it was far too hectic and went off in search of Canon. It was good fun blasting around on the Sky Train as we were able to get to see loads of different
parts of Bangkok and getting around was so easy it was untrue! We found Canon and they said it could be repaired for the grand total of £7.14!!! How pleased were we, the only problem was that they didn’t have any parts in stock so would have to order one in but it could take up to 3 weeks so fingers crossed it comes in before we leave Thailand. If not then we will have to try in Vietnam as they have a big Canon place in Ho Chi Min City.
We then had to go back to Khao San Road to pick up our bag that we’d left in the hotel as we figured we wouldn’t really need all of our walking stuff for the Southern beaches! So we got the water bus down to that end of the city, which gave us great views of some of the famous temples of Bangkok.
By the time we had done all of this time was ticking by so once we’d grabbed a bite to eat it was more
