wild and not being able to touch them, this was great!! We spent quite a while in this bit, and when we finally dragged ourselves away we went to see some Ostriches. I was a bit dubious about hand feeding Ostriches as they have very big beaks, so I was placing the food one the fence one piece at a time. The ostrich obviously soon became bored of this, and snatched the whole remaining bag of food from me and buried it’s head in it!!! At this point the ranger came along, and after reprimanding the ostrich (not too harshly!!!), told us that the park was closing. We’d completely lost track of time - it had been such a fabulous experience!!!

not a patch on English ones!! And there were no mushy peas, so it’s just not the same!!!! All that remained was to buy a load of beers, a cool bag, and a big bag of ice. Then it was back to the campsite for a lovely evening by the campfire. It turned out be quite a blustery night, so the camp fire was well appreciated. All in all it had been a great birthday, and it was with a slight hangover that we packed up our tent the next morning and continued south for some more adventures!!!
