MENDOZA
found out that it is incredibly easy to book your own accommodation and hire a car to travel around it! Now, I always thought that you had to do these things on an organised safari, so it came as great news that we could do it ourselves. We checked out cars and laughed at the thought of us driving around Kruger National Park looking at Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Hippo’s etc in a Vauxhall Corsa!!! Crazy days they will be!

We decided to have one more day of more or less an internet session, so the next morning we figured we should start thinking about when we were going to come home! (as we needed an onward ticket to get into South Africa). This was the day that had always seemed so far away, but now was looming large. It gave us both a really weird feeling as obviously it will be more than fantastic to see everybody again, (we have missed you all very much) but it also means that reality will
strike and we will have to go back and do that funny thing that beings with J, ermmm what is it now - oh yeah - a job - booo hoo! Oh my god, how happy did that make us feel? Not very, I can tell you. But we can’t complain at all, (although I’m sure we will) we have had the most amazing time and unfortunately nothing lasts forever and all of that.

Amazingly, we found Swiss Air to be the cheapest airline that flights back from South Africa and for an extra £15 you can get a transfer to any European city. We have always said that it would be good to have a week or so in a European city, just to get our heads around the fact that our dream trip is over and reality is going to deal us a very big blow and jolt us back to Earth!! So a quick check on Easyjet and we found Amsterdam to be the cheapest place to fly back from. Oh my god we both said to ourselves, how are we going to feel when we fly
