to cross the road and without looking the child had just walked out into the middle of the road. The owners argument was that the father should have ensured that it was safe in the first place for the boy to cross. We were literally shaking in the back of the jeep but thought it was best to keep out of they way, eventually the owner and driver got back into the jeep, the owner said it was a bad day and put his seatbelt on and we drove off very slowly.

The rest of the journey was thankfully uneventful. It was a crazy couple of days, the odds were somehow seemed stacked against us but the main thing was that the little boy was still alive and everything else seemed to pale into insignificance. I think it will be along time before we decide to treat ourselves to such luxury as we somehow got the feeling that we weren’t quite cut out for the posh high l

Yogi’s Guest House
5th - 6th September
We had booked back into Yogi’s for one night before we started our way down to Udaipur. We booked our bus tickets and were due to leave at 9.00 a.m. for a 6 hour bus journey. We had a lovely last night in Jodhpur and felt ready to move on.
