RAJASTHAN
We ordered and were admiring the views when suddenly it appeared to get darker and the wind started whistling around, the next minute the heavens opened and everything was getting blown around everywhere, we were getting soaked so we grabbed the table furthest away from the pouring rain but it was so windy that we were still getting splashed wherever we sat, but we saw the funny side and there was some amazing lightning and the food was great so not too bad really!!! After the storm subsided we ventured out and made a hasty dash back to our hotel just in-case the heavens opened again, as there was still a lot of moisture in the air and the thunder was still rumbling around the hills!
We were up, moved and eating breakfast before 10.30 a.m. the next day and we a lot happier with our new surroundings, we didn’t really do a great deal that day other than have a look around and check out what

there was to do.
The next day we had decided to get a boat ride on the lake. You had to pay to get into the City Palace, but it was only 25 rupees so wasn’t exactly going to break the bank, and we also booked our boat tickets at the same time then waited around for about 40 minutes till it was time for our trip. Then we got to the ticket stand the man told us that he wasn’t sure if the boat trip was running due to security, we were like hmmmm…. Security what do you mean?! The boat man told us that Tony Blair was in town so the lake was closed for security reasons! Can you believe it? You come all the way to Udaipur and then your boat trip gets cancelled because the Prime Minister of your country is in the area and having his picture taken about 500 metres away from where you’re stood! It turned out that only one half of the lake was closed but we wanted the trip round the whole lake so we decided to go and check out some museums and try our luck
