RAJASTHAN
nights. We were given the option of having an economy or luxury tent, but after seeing the photos of the luxury tent I guess our minds had already been made up!
We were both really excited about the prospect of staying somewhere so plush, at the only place in the desert to have a swimming pool on top of a sand dune, we also had two camel rides to look forward to!
We woke up the next morning, went and had breakfast then went out to get a few supplies for the next couple of days. Unfortunately I had to dash into a random hotel loo (not the most pleasant of loo’s!) as I didn’t feel too good. Oh great I thought, how typical is that, but we went back to Yogi’s and chilled on the rooftop for a bit and drank plenty of sugary drinks and started to feel a bit better.

Camel Camp - Osiyan
3rd - 4th September
We had arranged to be picked up at 3.00 p.m. the camel camp people would meet us at the guest house, take us by rickshaw to their bus stand and we would go from there, as the roads around the old city are far too narrow for anything other than a rickshaw, bike, cow etc! Our transport was in a converted Mercedes Van, which had air conditioning and a couple of very comfy sofas in the back! It was a nice feeling to be leaving the hustle and bustle of Jodhpur and know we were heading off to complete peace and quiet. We were the only people booked into the Camel Camp for that night so had the place to ourselves!!! The drive to the camp was around an hour and a half and the surrounding countryside was definitely getting more desert like, we passed our first camel which was pottering around by the side
