hey-presto Rob found a way to retrieve the message so we sat there with the phone on speaker, all giddy and with butterfly stomachs to hear Steve’s voice saying that ’We have a beautiful little boy, 7 pound 14oz”. We were so pleased, we played the message over and over again, it was brilliant news! Steve was now a proper Daddy Cool, WOW a mini Ohjo. Things were definitely looking up!!!
With us being very tired and after all the trauma with the phone we were feeling pretty tired and didn’t feel like doing much and it was also really cloudy outside and cold, so we ordered some breakfast and sat watching the One Day Cricket between Australia and the Rest of the World. After a while we decided to go and check out Mussoorie. This didn’t take long, it was awful! Like a hillside Blackpool, it was tacky, smelly and dirty. were nowhere to be seen in the clouds so we went back to the hotel, Rob watched the rest of the cricket, (which wasn’t really very good) and I read my book. We ended up eating at the same restaurant as this looked the safest bet in terms of hygiene, we had Indian this time which wasn’t a patch on the Chinese we’d had the night before, for some strange reason!
The next day we went out and explored some more of Mussoorie, again this didn’t take too long, we ventured on the Indian Cable Car to which we both had our fingers crossed that it would make it! They even had hand rails which we guessed were for cramming as many on as possible. Fortunately there was only 9 on us in it on the way down, with sitting room for 8 so poor Rob had to stand!
