ZION & BRYCE CANYONS
after us watching Walk the Line! Personally I don’t mind a few his numbers, but it also reminds of me of the time when I used to work with a guy who was pretty much obsessed by good old Johnny and we had to listen to more of his stuff than is normal!!!
The rest of the drive to Bryce was fine and the scenery was fantastic. We finally arrived at Ruby’s Inn late afternoon. Ruby’s Inn looked big and we couldn’t believe that they didn’t even have one room free and I think we even saw a sign saying rooms available!!! We booked into the campsite and got the cheapest deal for accommodation out of our whole time we were in the US - $18 for the six of us per night!!! Can you believe that, we were in one of the most heavily visited tourist attractions in Utah/America and it cost 3 dollars each per night and you got the use of 2 swimming pools with Jacuzzis, one indoor, one outdoor, free ice and

each site had a fire pit - I can honestly say that America doesn’t rip tourists off.
Sue and Eddie didn’t seem to encounter too much trouble with the Walmart special! Our camp was great but the weather was looking a bit on the stormy side and we could see huge dark clouds forming in the distance. Cath and Eddie had headed off to the swimming pool, so the rest of us finished sorting out the camp then headed to Ruby’s Inn store to see what we could find for tea! We weren’t hoping for too much, but again we were surprised by what we found and by the price - everything was so cheap. Ruby’s Inn is very touristy but is the home of the original Inn that was built by the pioneers that stumbled across Bryce Canyon, Ebenezer Bryce, who famously described the canyon as “a hell of a place to lose a cow!!” There was quite a bit of information regarding the history which was good to see as it
