ZION & BRYCE CANYONS

After our walk we took the shuttle bus back to Ruby’s Inn, we’d done a great walk but wanted to come back for sunset so decided that we would spend the rest of the afternoon chilling around the camp. Most people were tired due to being woken up by the thunder, but I was Ok as I’d slept through most of it!! I do find it quite strange that some nights I can sleep like a log as they say and others where the slightest little thing wakes you up!

Sue and Eddie had decided that they were going to eat at Ruby’s Inn rather than have another campsite meal, but the rest of us were happy to cook. Unfortunately the cooking was less successful that the previous evening and well shall we say we ended up eating at the snack bar later on! For some reason everything we cooked turned to disaster! The only thing that seemed to survive the cooking process was the pasta sauce which we all ended up dipping a bit of bread into and resigning ourselves to the fact we wouldn’t be winning any Michelin stars for tonight’s cooking effort!!! Still we all managed to have a good giggle about it!

After taking a bit of stick from Eddie about the sweetcorn, it was time to head back to Bryce for sunset. Sunset point was our destination and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We were treated to an amazing colour change in not only the rock but the surrounding sky. As the sun moved closer to the horizon and sky started to turn an amazing red, the colours in the rocks were definitely at their best. The hue’s and segments of light that seemed to glow on the rocks is
