ZION & BRYCE CANYONS

Wow, what a visual wonderland, nothing I can write can describe the sheer weirdness and beauty, it was absolutely breathtaking. We all stood looking transfixed and I remember thinking ’I’ll be back here someday, that is for sure’. Bryce Canyon was my favourite place out of all of the canyons we visited, it is just incredible and so other-worldly, like nothing I have ever seen before. For a start the colours are amazing, the hoodoos which are the pillar like rock formations are the most vivid colour of reddy orange and the detail in them are just incredible, it is almost like they have been carved that way, and it is vast. We are so very lucky as a people to have such amazing places on earth and this is how I felt about Bryce, in my mind it is my top 10 of best things I‘ve seen. Like I have already said, my writing skills are not romantic enough to express through words how beautiful this place really is. You will just have to go and see
for yourselves, because if you don’t then you will be missing out on one of the most amazing things you will ever see in your life - it really is that good! America is full of hidden treasures and from what I have seen this was definitely one of my favourite ones.

We all took far too many pictures and believe me it took me over 3 hours to edit the ones for the website, which may give you some indication of how many we have! (Sorry Andy!!). But what are you to do? It was an extremely photogenic place, with each corner you turned you got another angle of this weird and wonderful place. Everyone was clicking like crazy (except poor Eddie, who’s camera was playing up!!), so the walk took us longer than the recommended time, but hey we didn’t care, it was a beautiful day and we were in a beautiful place - life was definitely good!
