IGUAZU FALLS
Thankfully we seemed to have come just as the main tour groups were finishing off, so we waited till these were heading in the direction of another part or the Parque before attempting to visit the first of the many board-walked walks.

The first falls we saw were amazing and it was fabulous to see them from both sides. We also saw our first glimpse of the jetboats that takes hordes of tourists under one of the many waterfalls. Wow this did look like fun and we had already heard and read about the tours so thought it may be fun to do it tomorrow especially if we got most of the sightseeing done today. We wandered from one magnificent waterfall to another still mesmerised by their intoxicating presence. It was definitely a bonus for all 3 countries to have such a marvellous natural wonder on their doorsteps. We also got more of a feel for the landscape here, there were serene calm bodies of water that
took you a million miles away from the gigantic rush of water that flowed relentlessly over the sides of this huge gorge. We took our time wandering around and decided that we would leave the star of the show, the Garganta del Diablo till lunch/siesta time when we figured the crowds would be at there least. It would also mean that it would be the hottest part of the day but as they saying goes … only mad dogs and English men …!!!

There was so much to do and so much to see, we wanted to do it all but we knew that we should take our time as by this point we had definitely made up our minds that we would be coming back tomorrow. We stopped off at one of the various cafes for an energy giving fizzy drink as the heat was quite zapping. Before we knew it was time to take the train to the end of the line and the start of the largest boardwalk to Garganta del Diablo. Michael the Belgium lad we had
