IGUAZU FALLS
let down but you can’t have everything and at least it had a cooker and fridge!

After Rob had a dip we thought it was only right to enjoy a beer in the late evening sunshine. It was a glorious day and a real change from wet and windy Rio. At the bar we got talking to Michael, a web designer on a 3 week trip from Belgium and consequently spent the rest of the night with him. He was a really sound lad and we had a good old giggle especially about the delights of travelling.

The next morning we were up later than we planned and thought we had missed breakfast, which Rob was none to happy about! Later on we found out that we’d had a time change so we hadn’t missed breakfast at all! Brasil time is really weird, the time zones seem very odd and not everybody seems to adhere to them,
even the clock behind the bar said the same time as our clock!!! Due to this confusion and it being fairly late by this point, we decided to give the falls a miss and head into town instead. We were booked in for 3 nights so there wasn’t a particular need to see the falls that day. We got the local bus into town and went to a pleasant per kilo buffet and a wander around. The town was nothing really to write home about and we were very glad to be staying in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The rest of the evening was spent chilling out, playing a bit of pool and generally relaxing. We had definitely gotten into the relaxed South American lifestyle so chilling out was not a problem!
