FIJI
kung-fu on anyone who went near him!

Our third and final day at David’s Place was spent snorkelling for most of the morning - well in fact it was more like Rob snorkelling and I pottered around near to the beach for a short while! I’m really not a fan of snorkelling and was happy enough having the odd little swim and reading while Rob was out and about with the underwater camera checking out the reefs. I can not stress enough how beautiful the colours of the water were, it was totally amazing. We went for another walk after lunch, had afternoon tea then headed up Sunset Point to, well, catch the sunset!! The walk up was quite strenuous and we needed to walk up fairly fast as the sun was just starting to set when we set off. But we made it in time and the views were fantastic. It wasn’t the best sunset either of us had seen but it was a great spot and the view over our tiny island and the
other islands was great.

Our next destination was White Sandy Beach, we didn’t really know anything about it as they didn’t produce any brochures but it had been recommended to us by our friendly travel lady at Horizon. We got the Yellow Boat just after lunch time and it took about an hour to reach our next little transfer boat to White Sandy Beach.

Our little transfer boat was fairly full but as we anchored up and got out, we could hear lots of singing. We were greeted with everyone from the resort singing and playing guitars welcoming us all to White Sandy Beach. We were immediately introduced to Omi the lady who organised the accommodation and were each given a coconut drink. This place had a fantastic vibe and after we had pitched our tent we headed back to the dinner hut
