FIJI
style we got lunch which was OK, Rob was a bit peeved as our lunch wasn’t as big as the meat eaters! We then went to set up our tent, our first camping since Australia. We thought we’d found the best spot but just after we’d finished putting it up, one of the guys who works there suggested another area which was right next to the sea. We checked it out and immediately moved the tent! It was the most picture perfect camping spot I have ever stayed at in my life, people spend thousands to get views like this and we were paying a grand total of around £22 for the both of us and that included 3 meals per day - how brilliant is that? One thing we did notice was how strong the wind was, we were definitely taking the full force of it but we figured the tent could handle it! We then basically chilled around for the rest of the day, we went for a short wander along the beach but the vibe in these islands was so relaxed that we figured relaxing was about the best thing we could
do!

Dinner was served at 7pm so we made our way over to the dinner hall and sat down. It was basically three sets of benches and you just picked your spot. We sat with an Irish couple and another couple from England who’d just spent a few months travelling around America and in particular Utah so we gained a good bit of information from them. We sat talking for the rest of the evening then headed off to bed for an early night.

Waking up and opening the tent was something of an extreme pleasure, the sun had just peeped over the horizon and the island looked beautiful in the early morning light. It is very much an early to bed early to rise kind of place as breakfast is served at 8. After this we headed for the hammocks and read for a while. Basically we did nothing much but relax in Fiji, so there won’t be many amazing stories about
