FIJI
people at this resort were so incredibly friendly it was untrue. It was such a brilliant place, everybody was relaxed and smiling all of the time. After breakfast we had a very chilled morning with most of it spent reading in the hammock! Lunchtime came and went then the weather clouded over a little so we headed into the dinner hut where we met up with Claire, Sarah, Rachel and Rachel, I’m not sure whether it was the overload of girls or what but Rob decided to have a beer mid afternoon - bad move! Needless to say one turned into another and by teatime he was very merry! He was rather enthusiastic with the Bula dancing and seemed to be enjoying himself no end! I can’t stress enough how good this place was, it was brilliant. After the Bula dancing Rob kept us entertained for most of the night! I left him to it but woke up at some point in the middle of the night. It was pitch black and Rob was nowhere to be seen! I didn’t have a clue what time it but I knew he wouldn’t be far away. The next thing
I know I woke up and heard a lot of rustling outside the tent then the zip open, it was Rob! It had also started to rain by this point which thankfully had woken him up from his slumbers in the hammock! He had wandered off to finish his beer and fell sound asleep probably rocking gently in the breeze - rock a bye baby and all of that!!!

The next morning Rob was feeling a little delicate and the weather had taken a turn for the worse, so the only thing to do was sit around in the dining room and chat! It was very sociable and at some point we met a really nice Dutch couple, Ans and Bert who had done the same thing as us in terms of making a lot of money on a house and travelling for 2 years! We are going to stay in touch with them as we are hopefully going to try and meet up in Patagonia as we should both be there at a similar time - fingers crossed! The weather was horrid! What was going on?
