FIJI
difference the games were on at night so the games actually finished at 6.30 in the morning. We were woken a few times due to the them cheering but we didn’t mind, they weren’t half as noisy as a football crowd and we were very pleased to hear that Fiji had been crowned world champions, which was a major sporting feat for them. Honestly you can’t believe some people, there was a couple from Reading way who moaned all the way through breakfast about the noise and how they couldn’t sleep and what a disgrace it was that they watched it! We suggested that we would have been a hell of a lot noisier if it was the World Cup football! This woman really got on our pip, she was a proper moan bag, so much so that they ended up leaving the resort due to the noise they had had to suffer!!! We said good riddance and were glad that they had gone so we wouldn’t have to hear her bleating on about how tragic the lose of sleep was for them - get a life!!!
It was sad saying goodbye to Claire and Sarah, and after they have gone we did kind of feel that it was time to move on. John, a lad from Salford who’d we’d met at White Sandy Beach turned up in the afternoon and we ended up having a good last night which cheered us up. Instead of the usual Fiji romantic radio station the guys from the resort all sat around drinking kava and singing and playing guitar. It really was a great last night which we were pleased about as we didn’t want to leave Fiji on a low note. I guess it was just a little bit too long at this resort as there was literally nothing to do there!
The next day (our longest day ever) we caught the 4 pm transfer boat. We were heading back to Horizon as we had stored a bag there and were going to have something to eat before we headed to the airport around 10 pm. Fiji had been fantastic we really loved the place and only wished
