purchasing tickets off a particularly grumpy man! We hoped that we were booked on to the next mornings bus - yeap another mega early start!

We spent the rest of the day catching up with photos and diaries and generally chilling around. We caught up with Luis later on and were pleased to hear that he had also bought a bus ticket. Poor Luis was very apologetic about the state of the bus but we obviously knew it wasn’t his fault! After laughing about the boneshaker we were to be travelling on the next day we cooked dinner then retired for a very early night.

Sure enough we were woken by the dulcet tones of our alarm clock at 3.45 am! With very blurry eyes we got ourselves ready and before Rob could even finish cleaning his teeth we heard the bus horn papping. Myself, Rob and Luis climbed
aboard and yes to our horror this bus was even worse than the one we had caught on the way here! The look from Luis said it all and we sat ourselves down and hoped we could sleep for most of the way. We had a very tight stopover in Mercedes, we only had about an hour to spare before our early bus to Buenos Aires. I think I resigned myself to the fact that we weren’t going to catch the Buenos Aires bus which would mean us hanging around Mercedes for 5 or so hours. The bus toured Carlos Pelligrini picking up all and sundry this further adding to my suspicions that we wouldn’t make our connecting bus. This meant that it was going to be a very very long day!

The bus couldn’t have gone faster than it did, but if it hadn’t have been for some dawdling kids we may have got our connecting bus. We watched a beautiful sunrise and sat back and tried to sleep for the rest of the journey. We finally
