at all, as they had flown with the other airline and not the dreaded Bolivian military! But now wasn’t the time to start complaining about the airlines, it was time to enjoy a beautiful sunset in an outstanding location.

After a couple of beers and the light fading fast it was time to head back to our boat and sail back to our camp. Thankfully Rene didn’t just drive back as fast as he could, he waited until most boats had disappeared then let us drift almost all of the way back. The stars were starting to sparkle and the sounds of the night were getting louder and it was magical floating along these mysterious dark waterways.

After thanking Rene for a breathtaking trip back we headed to the dining room where dinner was immediately served. We had a great meal and with all of the
days excitements it wasn’t long before we headed off to bed, to dream about this special land and get some peace and quite from the dreaded mosquitoes. Even though we had used our bug lotion we could just tell that we had been bitten to death, so it was a good job we were going to be up at the crack of dawn and therefore needed an early night!

We were up at 5.30 am and out in the boat by 6! As predicted we’d been bitten like you wouldn’t believe, but this wasn’t going to deter us! This time we were heading to a special place to watch the sunrise. We traversed the labyrinth of waterways and finally came to stop where we headed out of the boat and through some very sodden ground which opened up into a large space where we watched a stunning sunrise.
