finished I went into the dining room to find Rene and the two Danish girls making jewellery and Rene had made us all a lovely necklace each.
Thankfully by late afternoon the rain had cleared and it was time to head out in the boat once again and this time it was to go swimming with the pink river dolphins! We had seen these graceful creatures swimming around a couple of times and they are truly unique to the area. In fact it is only the female river dolphins that are pink but both male and female have very long pointed snout which helps them feed from the riverbed. We had tried on numerous occasions to get a good photograph of them, but it was very difficult as they only appear above the water for a fleeting moment. Thankfully Rob finally managed to get one on our way to swimming with them.

The current was really strong and before Rob knew it he was drifting downstream and had a big powerful swim on his hands to get back to where the boat was! He was in no danger but looking at the stillness of the water you wouldn’t have believed the current could be so strong.
After a good 30 minutes or so Rob climbed back on board after another boat had turned up. The dolphins had long gone by this point and after Rene making a quick engine repair to the other boat we headed off again on another little
