AMAZON BASIN - PAMPAS
well alone and moved on! We also saw an Anaconda skin which had been shed and was lying on the ground. It was really strange seeing this transparent skin intertwined with bits of leaves and twigs, it didn’t really look real. The rest of the walk was pleasant enough but we got talking to the two Danish girls and found out that they also weren’t too happy about us being there and disturbing all of the plant life in the process. They were really great girls and were both pretty on the case with environmental issues so we had a good chat about things.

By this point we were all firmly installed in hammocks enjoying our books and the pampas way of life. Unfortunately the rain put a stop to another planned walk, but I was ¾ of the way through Inconceivable by Ben Elton, so the rain filled skies gave me chance to finish off the book which was good as it was rather a difficult book to put down!
