We had both had a really great time, it was so good to see Mum and Roland again. It was also great to see Dominic again and meet Dina and Joe and all of their friends. Time again had shown how quickly it can pass and it didn’t seem like we had been together for 9 days! We had some fantastic fun and seen a good taster of California countryside. We had just over 3 weeks before we were meeting up with Cath, Andy, Sue and Eddie which we were also very much looking forward too. Hopefully we can persuade Mum and Roland to meet us in New York so we can see them one more before we head off out of the US and into Central and South America!

It was sad saying goodbye to Mum and Roland but it was rather early in the morning when they left so everyone was a little sleepy! After they left we went for breakfast then packed the rest of our things and said goodbye to hotel living for a while! Dominic had

kindly offered us a couple of nights stay at his apartment as Dina was away dog sitting. Dom came to pick us up and take us to his place around lunch time.

We had a lovely chilled afternoon, catching up on emails, checking the internet and generally planning what we were going to be doing for the next month. I also managed to order the missing part for my rucksack which was a big relief and for the bargain price of $50! After the joy of this we went for a walk, Dom and Dina’s apartment is almost on the coast so we had a pleasant walk around the surrounding area! Dom wasn’t back till quite late but when he returned we had a good long chat over a beer or two. We were very grateful to Dom and Dina for their continued generosity as they had also offered us their boat to stay on. We were horrified when Dom insisted that he sleep on the floor and for us to have his bed. There was no budging him
