SAN FRANCISCO & AROUND
city and found the hostel which was OK. We were back
to dorm beds but things were looking up when it appeared that no-one else was booked into our dorm.
We had both been really impressed with the city when we had visited it for a day with Mum and Roland and we definitely looking forward to having a few days there. The first stop was for coffee, then we walked down through Chinatown, through Little Italy (which we thought maybe a good spot to watch the football final the next day). Little Italy was fabulous! Bustling with great looking restaurants and delis. We shared a lovely Italian style sandwich, and decided we would definitely be coming to eat here again at some point before we left! Then we headed down to Fisherman’s Wharf which neither of us were particularly impressed with, as it was very touristy and busy. We then walked around

the harbour which is very impressive. By this point we were feeling pretty tired as we had walked miles and felt like we had seen a good section of the city. We headed back through Chinatown as Rob wanted to get his haircut. After this we headed back to the hostel for a chill before deciding where to go and eat later on.
After chilling for a while and still having no-one else in our dorm we were starting to get hungry so headed out to see what we could find in Chinatown. After perusing a few menus we decided to head off the main street and go and find a more local style café rather than expensive restaurant. We found
a simple looking café with an amazing sounding veggie banquet for the grand total of just under $10 per person – RESULT! The food was amazing and we both left with extremely full bellies and decided the only thing to do
