SAN FRANCISCO & AROUND
a great night, Dominic and Dina were great and all of Dominic’s friends were a real good laugh, providing you weren’t offended by bad language!!!

We woke up feeling slightly delicate but after a good breakfast and shower we were ready to face the day. The plan was to head into San Francisco on the ferry and meet up with Dina for lunch. We had seen a sign for the ferry terminal so headed off, unfortunately there only appeared to be one sign for the ferry and we got a wee bit lost trying to work out where it would go from. By the time we found the ferry port we had missed the ferry and the next one due was in 45 minutes, there was nothing else to do but hit the local coffee and donut shop!

We boarded the ferry and made our way up to the top deck. The ferry took around 45 minutes
as it headed over to Oakland before turning round and going towards San Francisco. It was a superb journey and a real treat to arrive at the city by boat from across the bay. We saw the Golden Gate in all its glory, and the city skyline looked great, we were all in good spirits and very much looking forward to our day in the city. We didn’t really have a plan other than to wander and get a feel for the place, as it had been 15 years since Mum and Roland had last been there and things had apparently changed a great deal since then. Both myself and Rob instantly fell in love with the place, it had a great vibe and seemed to be a very welcoming and picturesque place. Mum and Roland hadn’t had much for breakfast and they were hungry so we stopped at a Japanese restaurant so they could get some lunch. Rob got some seafood sushi but I was still too full after my breakfast and chocolate creamy donut!!!
