SAN FRANCISCO & AROUND
was head back to the dorm for a lie down!

We had the dorm all to ourselves until around 11pm when the dorm-mates from hell turned up! Fair enough we were still up when they arrived but after about an hour of them faffing around, we went to bed! They continued their faffing around for god-knows how long, I mean how many times do you need to use the bathroom before you go to bed – about 15 for this pair!!!

After a less than perfect nights sleep we were up early as we wanted to catch the football. We also had to change rooms for some reason but we weren’t too bothered and hoped that our new dorm-mates would be less annoying than this pair!!!

We headed down to Little
Italy and were hoping that we may find a small space in one of the many café bars!!! How foolish were we?!!! The place was rammed, but a few of the café bars had large TV’s outside for the masses that were gathering! We found a place with a reasonable view and the atmosphere was great, I guess it was one of the best places to be outside of Italy! There is a huge Italian community in San Francisco and they were all out cheering on their country.

After battling the crowds for the first half and getting a worse and worse view we decided to head back to the hostel and watch the second half there. We ended up sat with an English crowd and had a beer or two whilst watching a predictably dull game. The penalties were exciting and there was much joy
