different village. Result, they were showing the game, and we took our seats next to a party from Northern Ireland. There were three main problems, one, we had missed most of the game as it started at 8 not 9, two, Rooney had been sent off (as predicted by myself) and three, England were basically crap!!! After chatting with the Irish contingency we realised we hadn’t missed much and well the rest is history! The only good thing was seeing the back of the money-grabbing bore of the century Mr Sven Gorran Eriksson.
After the disappointment of the football we headed back to Joes to collect our stuff for a day at Yosemite. It was quite a drive from Groveland and the traffic was heavy due to the fact of it being the 4th July holiday weekend. Driving into Yosemite was amazing - the scenery was fantastic and the size of the place was awesome - everything was on a big scale. Joe suggested we did the Mist

Trail as the waterfalls would be big (no surprise there!) due to the snow melt. The trail was amazing even though there was a lot of walking uphill! When we reached the base of the waterfall the spray from the huge fast flowing waterfall came right across the path creating some fabulous little rainbows and a very welcome cooling shower! After a cooling down we headed off again on the final assault up the hill to the top where you could see the river before it plunged down in the waterfall. The views were beautiful from the top and the sound of the waterfall was enchanting as it tumbled down below us.
